Novice Jump Grids

Prerequisite – Have completed up to level 2 Agility class and be proficient on front/blind crosses and tight turns

This workshop is to help further your handling skills and build confidence/drive using jumps and tunnels.
3 dates to choose from: June 7th, 14th or 21st
5:30pm to 7pm
1.5 hours $55 per workshop max 6dogs

Intermediate Jump GridsPrerequisite – Have completed up to level 3 Agility class and be proficient in front/blind/rear crosses, right turns, backsides, threadles and serps
This workshop is to help further your handling skills and build confidence/drive using jumps and tunnels.
3 dates to choose from: June 7th, 14th or 21st
7:15 to 8:45pm
1.5 hours $55 per workshop max 6dogs

Reliable Contact Work
No prerequisite
Dogs will work on confidence and reliability of dog walk, A Frame and Teeter.
Date: June 6th 5:30pm to 7pm

Reliable Weaves 
No prerequisite
New dogs will be introduced to weaves using guides method.
If your dog has already started weaving I will help troubleshoot and build confidence/speed and reliability.

Distance Workshop
Prerequisite – Have completed up to level 2 Agility class and be proficient on jumps, tunnels, A Frame and Dog Walk.
This workshop is designed to help work on creating more distance with sends to various pieces of equipment. Working on confidence and drive to the equipment, I will also introduce a game called Gamble 🙂

Our Agility Workshops are taught by Kara Bellingham

Have fun with your dog, communicate with your dog and connect with your dog is Kara’s training philosophy!  Enjoy and learn from every training moment, improve in what the team is doing and push to get to the next level!

Kara has a true love for all dogs and dog sports.  She and her dogs perform with the Presidents Choice Superdogs, she is a certified trick dog instructor through Do More With Your Dog (CTDI), is a supporting member of IAABC (International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants), and is a certified Head Judge and Trainer for Disc with UpDog.  She trains and has competed in Agility (AAC), Nosework, Dock Diving and Disc Dog, with her true passion being Freestyle Disc.  Kara trained under Marion Paulson in disc dog and has attended many seminars including PVYBE with Ron Watson and Apryl Lea, Freestyle Disc with Andrea Rigler, Freestyle Disc and Dog Dance with Lucka Plevova, Freestyle Disc with Shaun Hirai, and many more!  She continues to attend seminars whenever possible.  Kara has travelled across Western Canada and through the USA where she has competed and placed in Skyhoundz, AWI, UFO and UpDog.

Kara shares her home with her husband Shawn Bellingham who is an UpDog Judge and their four dogs Piper, Electric, Treble and Hexadecimal who go everywhere with them! She is an active front member of the Calgary Disc Dog Club, they host competitions, fun matches and learning sessions where she has helped train many new disc teams.
