UKC Rally Obedience – Level 1
Starts at 4:30pm on Jan 12. Class dates are Jan 12, 19, 26, Feb 2, 9 & 23. No class on Feb 16. $225+gst for 6 week program.
UKC Rally Obedience is a fun dog sport where dogs and their handlers navigate an obedience obstacle course that includes heeling on leash, pivots, sits, downs, stands, stays, heeling past distractions, etc. This class is focused on teaching the signs used in UKC Rally Level 1, as UKC Rally trials are newly being offered in the area being held along side UKC Confirmation shows. Learning new signs from different organizations can also help generalize your dogs behaviors for these organizations making for a stronger team! This class is best suited to dogs that already have experience with playing in rally but want to learn the signs and rules for this new organization. Janilee Benell, C
PDT-KSA, CBATI-KSA, CTDI started out with a passion for helping reactive and fearful dogs reach their fullest potential. In 2016, she competed for the first time with one of her dogs in WCRL Rally obedience. Since then, she has gone on to title four very different dogs in multiple venues and sports. One of her favorite things is watching a team learn and grow together through formal obedience type skills.
