Yep, High Tails will be at Pet Expo! Come meet our animal Chiropractor, Dr. Josée. Dr. Wendy who is our consulting veterinarian will also be there. And on Saturday our trainer Brenda will be there with her baby pig,Jillian for everyone to meet!

Facebook Login

If you click on the login button at the top right of any page, you will see that you have 2 options - standard and facebook. The 'standard' is highlighted by default and allows you to enter your user name and password and login.

You can also click on 'facebook' which will then show the "facebook connect" button. The first time you use this, you will have to authorize Facebook to allow login. Once you have completed this step, you will see the following message:

You have been successfully authenticated. However, this authenticated Identity is not a member of this site. You can either associate the Identity with an existing user (by providing the username and password) or you can register as a new member.

You can now link your facebook account to an existing account (if you previously registered on our site). This will prevent you from having 2 different account profiles. Type in your existing username and password and click "Associate with User Account".

The next time, you login, it will simply log you in with your facebook credentials.

If you do not have an existing account with us, click "create a new account". Fill in your basic information and respond to the email that we send. (This step, verified registration, is necessary so that others don't create an account and use your email address for spam).

New Start Date for Next Obedience Class!

Thursday, May 3 at 7:45pm will be the start day/time for another round of our obedience classes. The class runs for 6 weeks and costs $189 plus gst. Class sizes are limited to between 4-6 dogs so everyone gets lots of individual attention! Brenda does a fantastic job of making the class fun, logical and suited to your needs. Your spot will be held once full payment is received. See the "Training" section of our website for forms and info sheets.

Agility Classes are Finally Almost Here! Register Today!

We've chosen dates and are now accepting registration for agility classes at High Tails Pet Resort!

There are 2 start dates to chose from for this round. It is an introductory class with no experience or obedience training required.

Wednesday, May 2 at 7:45pm

Thursday, May 3 at 6:30pm

Classes are 6 weeks long and are $179 plus gst. Your spot is only held once full payment is received. You may stop by High Tails to register or do it from home by emailing/faxing us back the signed forms (see training section of our website) and calling us with your credit card information that we will process while speaking with you.

Your instructor, Brenda, is a certified agility judge and instructor. Over the last 15 years she has prepared many dogs to compete if that's your end goal! You will also get to meet her adorable piglet Jillian who is also learning to do agility!

Next Round of Training Classes

We are excited to announce the next round of training classes!

Beginner Obedience will be held Wednesday evenings at High Tails at 6:30pm starting March 21. Jeffro and I just completed this fun, action packed class. Brenda's handling methods are so gentle, positive and logical that getting results is immediate and so rewarding!

Agility of all levels starts again Saturday, March 17 at Dignified Dogs – Bay K, 9827 Horton Road SW. Pat and I will both be at the beginner's class. She is bringing her Jack Russel "Jenny" and I am bringing "Rebel" - the High Tails logo dog! Read more

News! News! News!

So I'm on a mini vacation in Radium and finally found an internet cafe so I could share some great news.

1. Tonight we start our first obedience class on the High Tails campus!
2. Beginner's agility began last weekend at a space we are renting in south Calgary until spring arrives.
3. We've extended our grooming $10 off special to include February.
4. Dr. Josee Gerard is now booking appointments! With just one adjustment, Bunsen's (my 11 month old kitten) fluid filled lungs cleared right up. This was even after a 2 week round of strong antibiotics didn't even help. Yay!
5. Lots of people have begun reserving their spots in the kennel for spring break.
6. Our video is ready to launch within one week! It will air on our website and u-tube.
7. Elvis continues to be a ham-bone! I will post more on his forum upon my return.
8. Finally, we have decided to merge our grooming services to the Balzac location. As of the middle of February we will no longer be offering grooming at our location in side of Rascals Pet Supplies in Calgary. We welcome all our Calgary clients to the Resort and can't wait to show everyone around and continue providing the same great service they are accustomed to...and more!

Training Classes at High Tails Pet Resort!

We are so excited to finally be able to offer training classes at High Tails. Brenda Goodbody joined our team a few months ago. Not only is she a groomer, but she is also a certified trainer and certified agility judge. She is truly gifted with animals and people. Her training methods are consistent with our company's core values and beliefs. We can't wait for you to meet her!

Beginner's Obedience starts Feb 1, 2012 and goes for 6 weeks on Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Class sizes will be limited to 4-5 dogs. Location: High Tails Pet Resort

Beginner's Agility starts Jan 21, 2012 and goes for 6 weeks on Saturdays from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Until the summer, classes will be held at an indoor location in South Calgary. No experience or prior obedience courses necessary.
